RC1 is available for evaluation on Windows x64, Ubuntu amd64, Debian 13 amd64, RHEL 9 x86_64. It is a release candidate rather than a production release.
Before you install RC1
Registration cannot currently be completed. RC1 provides 720 TPM powered-on hours after first-time setup; export evaluation data before that allowance ends.

How to check what you are downloading
Start with the exact GitHub release
Use the complete platform archive linked from the RC1 release. GitHub's automatic source-code downloads are not Pūnaha installers.
Verify the files
Check the published SHA-256 values and detached signatures before installing the package.
Read the current limitations
Review the installation guidance, registration status and outstanding acceptance work before using RC1 for evaluation.
Release labels
Development, alpha, beta, release candidate and release are different states
Development builds are private and cannot be promoted. Alpha and beta builds are pre-releases. A release candidate rehearses the intended final feature set. The final release keeps the approved source revision but has its own embedded version and immutable artifact. A version without a pre-release label is a supported release.
A website deployment, a Git tag or a successful build does not by itself make a Pūnaha version public.
